Steel 16Г2СФ (16Г2САФ)
Designation
Description
16Г2СФ steel is used: for the manufacture of welded steel structures; welded longitudinally welded pipeline pipes with a diameter of 530, 720 and 820 mm strength group K55 as per GOST 20295−85 for main gas and oil pipelines; gas pipeline electric-welded longitudinal pipes with diameter of 1020 mm of rolled sheet metal of group strength K60, for main gas and oil pipelines, thermal power plants and heating networks, and gas and oil pipelines increased corrosion resistance with increased resource exploitation; ekspandirovannogo longitudinal electric-welded pipes intended for construction of high pressure pipelines.
Standards
Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to TU 14-1-1921-76, instead of Ce, Ca≤0.020% can be introduced.
According to TU 14-1-1950-2004, the chemical composition is presented for steel grade 16G2SAF. Steel grade 16G2SAF is deoxidized with aluminum, the residual mass fraction of which (over the ladle sample), should be in the range of 0.015-0.050%. For globularization of sulfur inclusions, cerium or calcium additive is allowed. The mass fraction of cerium or calcium should not be more than 0.03% and 0.02%, respectively. The carbon equivalent should be no more than 0.46.
