Composition

Steel pipe grade 20X25H20S2 is made from a complex alloy. According to GOST 5632-72 24-27% chromium, 18-21% nickel, 2-3% silicon. The alloy is alloyed with vanadium, tungsten, titanium and carbon - 0.2% each, manganese, molybdenum and copper - 0.3% each, thousandths of phosphorus. The remainder is iron. Because chromium and nickel are the major alloying elements, the steel is called chrome-nickel. The forging temperature is 1170 °C at the beginning and 850 °C at the end of the process. The pipe is cooled in air.
