Hastelloy X - UNS N06002
Common trade names: Hastelloy X®, Nickelvac® HX, Microfer® 4722, Altemp® HX, Inconel® HX. This is a molybdenum-alloyed chromium-nickel alloy. It is characterized by great resistance to oxidation. Weldable without restriction. Used for combustion chamber parts and nozzles in jet engines and land-based gas turbines, for fans and rollers in industrial furnaces. It is produced as rounds (bars, forgings), billets, plates, sheets, strips, wires, tubes and capillary tubes. The alloy retains exceptional resistance to oxidation at t° up to 1200ºC. For hot deformation, the alloy is heated to a temperature, 1175ºC.
