Magnetically soft precision alloy 49K2F (49K2FA-V, EP207) serves for production of electromagnets, pole cores, lugs, solenoids. It is produced as a hot-rolled sheet, cold-rolled band and wire, forged circle. It is magnetic material. According to
Production
Magnetically soft alloys are melted on the basis of super-pure iron, ferromagnetic, low-carbon unalloyed and siliconized steels. The basis of low-coercive precision alloys are iron and nickel, powder composite ferroalloys. Smelting takes place in special metallurgical furnaces using especially pure charge mixture and after cooling the ingots are subjected to forging or rolling.
