Production and use
Heat-resistant, heat-resistant corrosion-resistant grade 08KH18N12B is a Nickel-chromium alloy austenitic. Production is regulated by the following GOST: 5632−72; 5949−75; 5582−75; 7350−77; 9940−81; 9941−81. Of a steel made welded equipment for work in nitric acid. This steel knife is more resistant to corrosion compared to alloy 12X18H9T and 12Х18НЮТ, doped with titanium.

Corrosion resistance
Steel 08KH18N12B stand against oxidation in air up to 900 °C, and also against knife of corrosion in welded joints to intergranular corrosion. Testing is carried out by methods AM and AMU GOST 6032−89 (immersion in the control solution at 24 and 8 hours, respectively). Such tests are carried out after provoking heated to 650 °C (1 hour).
Technological parameters
The ingots are rolled at t° 1200−900°C. To bars with a high content of Nb should be lower t° the beginning of deformation up to 1150 °C. Hot deformation is carried out at 1160−900°C. Steel has a good manufacturability during cold deformation in the hardened state.
Welding
For RDS use electrodes TSL-11 with wire SV-07Х19Н10Б; electrodes OzL-7 with wire SV-01 (02)Х19Н9. These electrodes give a high durability of welded joints to intergranular and General corrosion. For welding equipment operating at temperatures up to 750 °C, for example, in the petrochemical industry, are used as the electrodes L-39 with wire SV-04Х19Н9 and SV-06Х19Н9Т. If you need durability in aggressive environments at t° to 600 °C using electrodes of L-40M with wire SV-02 (04)Х19Н9.
