Use

Aluminum sheet is one of the most popular types of rolled steel today. It is indispensable in shipbuilding, aircraft construction, food processing, refrigeration equipment, for the frames of the window and door units, lightweight slabs. Using powder coating further expands the scope of aluminum sheet. Fluted sheet is relevant in the transport engineering, stairwells as anti-slip coating. Corrugation looks great as a decorative finish. In some cases, corrugated sheets are used as a lightweight slab in the construction of industrial facilities.

Production

Aluminum sheets of various grades and its alloys are made in accordance with GOST 21 631... Production consists of operations:

1. hot deformation;

2. rolling / drawing (cold deformation).

A distinction is made between sheets of general purpose - ordinary flat sheets, and corrugated, perforated, duo, quintet, diamond. A special kind is food-grade aluminum sheet. The most popular grades of aluminum sheets are AD, AMG, AMC, 1105, 1561. Surface of a sheet should be even, smooth, matte without bubbles, cracks, tears or traces of overburning. Thickness of perforated sheet is 0,5-6 mm. Corrugated sheet has a matte and rough surface with a convex pattern. The pattern consists of ribs located at an angle to each other. Ribbed sheets may be of three types - "diamond", with the presence in the picture of one riffle, "duet", drawing includes two riffles, and "quintet" - drawing is composed of five riffles.
