Brass L60 refers to a simple double alloy, contains copper and zinc in an approximate ratio of 60% to 40%. The percentage of copper is reflected in the marking. It is distinguished by high technical characteristics: strength, ductility, resistance to corrosion, good toughness, malleability. The alloy is easily deformed in cold state, stamped, deep-drawn and well polished. It is used for tube boards in freezers, stamped pieces of equipment, fittings.

Production

Chemical composition of L60 grade is regulated by GOST 15 527-2004. Alloy consists of the following components: main part is copper 59 - 62%, zinc contains 37 - 41%. The alloying additives are listed in descending order. Lead - up to 0.3%, iron - 0.2%, phosphorus and antimony - 0.01%, bismuth - 0.003%, - impurities do not exceed 1%. The alloy melts at t° 904 °C, is processed at t° 750 - 880 °C, the annealing temperature is 550 - 650 °C.

Advantages
