Technical specifications
High-alloy heat resistant austenitic steel based on nickel (at least 58%) and chromium (up to 31%). Developed by Special Metals. The steel is resistant to high-temperature corrosion at temperatures above 1,100° C. Designed for long term operation in thermal shock and oxidizing environments. Specific weight 7.77 g/cm3.

Smelted in an open arc furnace. The alloy is characterized by high processability, good weldability. High chromium content makes the alloy resistant to oxidation and sulfidation. And 3.1% aluminum significantly improves resistance of the alloy to other forms of high-temperature corrosion.
