Choose the brass alloy and tube construction

Brass tubing is not one interchangeable grade. Identify the UNS alloy and whether your order calls for seamless drawn tube, another tube construction or a machining blank. Outside diameter, inside diameter or wall thickness, cut length, dimensional tolerance and temper determine what can be offered. For pressure, potable-water or other regulated service, send the governing project specification; suitability cannot be assumed from the word brass.

Specification and documentation

ASTM B135/B135M covers seamless brass tube in specified UNS alloys and forms. It does not cover every brass tube or automatically certify a particular lot. Include the standard edition or drawing, inspection needs and mill documentation with your request.

• OD, ID or wall, length, tolerance and temper
