Manufactured parts should be free of delamination, cracks, tears on the edges and foreign inclusions. The starting material for the production of stacks, and later ribbons and sheets, are: copper electrolytic powder of PMS-1 grade (GOST 4960), nickel powder of PNK-1L6, PNK-1L5 grade (GOST 9722), high-purity molybdenum metal powder according to TU 48−19−69−80, MHR grade or reduced molybdenum powder according to TU 14−22−160−2002.

Basic qualities

Relatively low density, excellent thermal conductivity, high tightness. Copper-molybdenum pseudo-alloys allow to produce products with unique consumer characteristics — wear-resistant, heat-resistant, with high damping qualities, low friction coefficient and self-lubricating ability. Specific thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of alloys depend on the ratio of the main components of the alloy and the residual porosity.

Use

Production of metal-oxide semiconductors with surface diffusion, field-effect transistors for millimeter and ultrahigh frequencies and heterotransistors, bipolar devices, microwave integrated circuits, power supplies, containers for optoelectronics and packaging of laser diodes. Pseudo-alloys are used as billets to produce strips and sheets by rolling and to manufacture various parts. Copper-molybdenum pseudo-alloys MD-40 and MD-50 are designed for production of articles with increased thermal conductivity, as well as for soldering with beryllium and alumina ceramics. Compared with copper-tungsten, copper-molybdenum pseudo-alloys are much lighter, so they are used in those products where low weight is important. Sheets containing up to 70% molybdenum are used for stamping.
