Production and use
Stainless chromium steel 65h13 smelted in open electric arc furnaces with the use of ESR. Production is regulated by GOST 5632−72 and the next TU: 14−1-3760−84; 14−1-3918−85; 14−1-4105−86; 14−131−764−88; 14−131−844−91. Note. 65KH13 critical points: Ac1 = 805−810 °C; Ac3 = 880 °C; PL= 200 °C.
Deformed in cold and hot condition. Hot deformation is carried out at 1180−850°C. Softening heat treatment: tempering (730−750°C) or annealing (850−880°C) with slow cooling to 740 °C, cooled to 640 °C at a rate of 20°C/h. Recrystallization annealing of the strip in the bell-type furnace is carried out at 660−680°C; in a strand furnace at 730−750°C. In the structure of steel after annealing is granular pearlite with excess eutectic carbides. Secondary carbides uniformly distributed in ferrite matrix. The microstructure of cold-rolled strips includes 45−55 fine carbides in the area of 100 mm2.
