Titanium and Titanium Alloy Forgings

Titanium forgings for U.S. industrial orders

Titanium forgings are selected where the design requires a controlled grade, mechanical properties, directional grain flow and documented processing. ASTM B381 covers annealed titanium and titanium-alloy forgings in numerous grades, including commercially pure and alloyed titanium. Aerospace or other critical applications may instead require an AMS, customer or drawing specification with additional qualification.

Forging forms and supply scope

Evek LLC reviews requirements for open-die or closed-die forgings, rings, disks, blocks, preforms and customer-drawing parts. Feasibility depends on the titanium grade, starting stock, forging route, section size, heat treatment, machining allowance, quantity, tooling and inspection. A request for generic "titanium" is not sufficient for quotation.

Information required for a quote

Send the ASTM grade and UNS number or approved aerospace designation, exact specification and revision, drawing, dimensions, machining allowance, heat-treatment condition, quantity, mechanical tests, ultrasonic, penetrant, radiographic or other inspection requirements, grain-flow requirements, traceability and certificate type.
