Feature
Alloy Н65М-VI Nickel-based belongs to the category of heat-resistant alloys of austenitic class. High quality steel allow to use it in an oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature from -70 to 500 °C, pressure up to 5 N/mm2. Nickel, whose share in the alloy is 65%, protect the surface of structures, from wet corrosion and corrosion cracking in alkaline and oxidizing environments, gives resistance to intergranular corrosion. Supplements silicon, manganese, molybdenum additionally improve manufacturability and performance. The alloy is melted in vacuum induction furnaces. Used in the manufacture of welded chemical equipment for the synthesis of ion-exchange resins, polypropylene, acetic acid.

Resistance to corrosion
Alloy brand Н65М-VI is resistant to intergranular corrosion after provoking tempering at 800 °C (30 minutes) and tested in the control of boiling 21% solution of Hcl (200 h)., This alloy unlike N70MFV-VI, has higher contents of molybdenum and greater resistance to corrosion in aggressive environment of reduction, it is recommended for more aggressive environments is N70MFV-VI.
The process parameters and processing
This alloy is available to any types of treatment: forging, rolling, stamping, pressing, drawing. Hot deformation is produced in the thermal interval 1220−950°C with a long preliminary aging at t º heating. The alloy is more prone to the cold deformation, in comparison with austenitic steels of type 18−10, which is why it requires additional intermediate heating under pressure treatment. After the molding products must undergo heat treatment at t° 1070+20°C (exposure 3−5 min/mm cross section), and cooled under a water shower. Cutting of alloy (drilling, turning, milling) carried out at lower speeds using carbide ВК3, ВК3М, ВК6М, and for drilling alloys ВК10 ВК10М, ВК15, ВК15М. Alloy manual arc welded or TIG method. In the latter case, the filler material used wire Н70М-VI (ЭП495) according to TU 14−1-673−82) or Н65М-VI (ЭП982), according to the 14−13 281−81. For arc welding use electrodes OzL-23. Welding should be conducted with intensive cooling. Welded joints have high mechanical strength (σ0,2 = 350 N/mm2, σв 720 N/mm2, δ5 = 35%, KCU = 150 j/cm2), the resistance to intergranular corrosion, including stab types.
