Alloy 07X16H6-sh (EP288-sh) is a stainless chromium-nickel alloy. It contains approximately 16% chromium and 6% nickel. The number 07 at the beginning of the letter abbreviation reflects the average carbon content in hundredths of a percent: 0.07%.

Performance properties

Products manufactured from the alloy are not susceptible to deformation and oxidation when heated in an oxygen-rich atmosphere. The bars, rounds and wires are highly corrosion resistant in water, humid air, in most strong alkalis and acids. Increased mechanical resistance is combined with resistance to high temperatures.

Alloy 07Ch16H6-SH is available in the form of wire, round, bars, sheets and strips. Bars and wires may have both round and square cross sections. The products are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of ASTM 664-41 (for wire) and GOST 1525-53 (for rod). This alloy is an ideal constructional alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. 07Ch16H6-SH circle, wire and rod began to produce in the Soviet Union for quite some time.
