VT1-2 - titanium grade 4 circle, rod, sheet

Relevance

VT1−2 grade serves as a base for production of various alloys. Of particular practical importance are titanium borides, compounds used in nuclear boilers to slow down chain reactions due to their refractoriness and broad neutron capture cross-section. Titanium halides, oxides and silicides are used in high temperature engineering. Carbides with high hardness are part of tool alloys used as abrasive material, edges of cutting tools. VT1−2 is perfectly amenable to polishing, color anodizing and other methods of treatment. It is used in production of various artistic products.

Use

Technical VT1−2 titanium serves as a base for tanks, pipelines, chemical reactors, pumps, fittings etc. products working in aggressive environment, for example in chemical engineering. VT1−00 serves for coating of steel parts of hydrometallurgical equipment. Application of titanium increases profitability and service life of equipment, allows to optimize technological process at hydrometallurgical processing of non-ferrous metals. Being biologically harmless, titanium has become an excellent material for the food industry as well as for reconstructive surgery. Titanium’s strength in extreme cold increases while maintaining its ductility, allowing it to be used as a construction material for cryogenic equipment.
