Tellurium (Te) is a brittle metalloid used in metal alloys, semiconductor and detector materials, thermoelectric applications and other specialized processes. Commercial requirements must identify the purity and physical form because “tellurium” alone is not a complete specification.

Grades and forms

Enquiries may include tellurium pieces, granules, powder or other available forms. State the minimum purity, impurity limits, particle or piece size, packaging, lot quantity and required certificate or analysis. Product availability is confirmed against the exact request.

Applications

Tellurium is used in selected lead and copper alloys, CdTe and CdZnTe materials, thermoelectric compounds and chemical processing. Suitability and handling requirements must be determined from the governing technical and safety documentation.
