During the melting process, a limited amount of sulfur (not more than 0.025%) and phosphorus (not more than 0.020%) also enter into the steel composition.
50hf steel is analogous to 50KhFA steel, which is produced in Poland, and 50CrV4 steel is produced in Germany.
Physical and mechanical properties of the material:
- Tensile strength, MPa - 940;
- Ultimate ductility, MPa - 820;
- Relative elongation, % - 22;
- Tensile strength, kJ/m2 - 40.
- Brinell hardness - 260...310.
Steel 50XFA can be subjected to various modes of heat treatment - quenching at 8500 С in oil with the subsequent tempering, the type of which (normal, spheroidizing or isothermal) is determined by the final complex of properties.
It is supplied in a wide range of profiles, including rolled wire (coated and uncoated), forgings, bars, heavy plates.
Steel 50KhFA (and all its foreign analogues) is used for the production of critical springs of high durability. Steel works well under conditions of elevated temperatures up to250-3000 C and has high wear resistance under conditions of constantly changing loads, including cyclic loading of parts.
Steel is characterized by high sensitivity to grain growth during hot forging of initial blanks, therefore deformation is performed at reduced speeds.
Flaking is absent. The weldability of steel is poor.
Evek GmbH offers from the supplier any assortment of volume sections of steel grades 50XFA, 50CrV4 or 50hf at favourable prices. Homogeneity of properties, strict compliance with the assortment, as well as compliance with quality indicators of the finished products are guaranteed.
