Production and application
Grade 08Х17Н13М2Т belongs to high-alloyed austenitic class. It is produced according to GOST 18 143−72; 5632−72; 18 907−73; 5949−75; 4405−75; 7350−77; 9940−81; 9941−81.It is used in the manufacture of urea synthesis columns, in welded structures working in contact with acetic, phosphoric acid and in other environments of high aggressiveness.

Corrosion resistance
According to GOST 7350−77 resistance to intergranular corrosion of steel is tested by AM and AMU methods GOST 6032−89, after annealing at t ° 650 ° C (1 hour). Similar tests are normalized in GOST 5949−75. Steel has 1 point corrosion resistance (less than 0.1 mm / year) in 50% citric acid at t ° boiling; in 10% formic acid at 100 ° C; in 5−25% H2SO4 to tº 75 °C; in 50% acetic acid at 100 °C and 80% to 80 °C; in 25% H3PO4 at tº boiling, and 40% at 100 °C.
Steels of type 17−15−3 or 17−13−2 (3), due to molybdenum additives, have an increased resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride-containing media compared to chromium-nickel steels 18−10. Molybdenum in oxidizing media reduces resistance against intergranular corrosion.
Technological parameters
Steel 08Х17Н13М2Т, as well as steel 08Х17Н15МЗТ, 10Х17Н13МЗТ easily deforms in the temperature range 1200−850°С. For blanks containing 5-ferrite, lower the t° of the beginning of deformation. All the mentioned steels have a high degree of cold deformation.
Welding
Steel 08Cr17H13M2T is well welded by gas-electric, manual or automatic electric arc method. For automatic arc welding, submerged-arc welding wire Sv-01H19H18G10AM4 is used, for manual arc welding — electrodes OZL-20, ANV-17, ANV-18 and ANV-20.
