C37000 free-cutting Muntz metal for U.S. orders
C37000 is a wrought copper-zinc-lead alloy identified by the Copper Development Association as free-cutting Muntz metal. Its chemistry is distinct from lead-free yellow brass: the UNS composition includes a controlled lead addition for machinability. Order C37000 only where the alloy chemistry and applicable regulatory requirements are acceptable for the intended use.
