Corrosion resistance
Resistance to oxidation up to 2000° F (1093° C) exceeds that of special superalloys. Increased sulfidation resistance up to 1800° F (982° C). Resistant to hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide up to 1800° F (982° C).
Heat Treatment
Annealed at 2050° F (1121°C) for 2 hours, air cooled. Annealing at 1550° F (843°C) for 24 hours air cooling.
Cold work
Tough and short drills, reamers, taps and end mills. Special tool steel for turning. Carbide tapping tools, Lubricate continuously. Wheel speed 6000 rpm for surface grinding, Conventional grinding methods
