Characteristics

02Х25Н22АМ2-ПТ grade refers to highly alloyed austenitic steels. It is melted in plasma furnaces using pure charge materials. Production is regulated by the following specifications: 14−134−277−91; 14−1-5072−91; 14−1-5203−93; 14−159−252−95.This is a particularly low-carbon nitrogen-bearing structurally stable steel. It is used in the manufacture of urea production equipment at pressures ≤ 200 N/mm2 and t° from -70° to +200°С. Exceptional strength and corrosion resistance allows to use this steel instead of 03Х17Н14МЗ that provides reduction of metal intensity of equipment, increases reliability and service life. It is also advisable to use this steel for operation in phosphoric, nitrogen- and sulfuric acid environments and instead of Х17Н14М2Т or Х17Н14М3Т grades under conditions conducive to the appearance of pitting corrosion. This steel is used for operation in environments containing hydrogen sulphide with partial pressure H2 S ≤ 3,0 N/mm or CO2 ≤ 30 N/mm2 at t° up to 150 °C.

Corrosion resistance

According to the following TU 14−159−252−95, 14−1-5203−93 steel is supplied after quenching at t ° 1100 ° C without provoking tempering. Resistant to intergranular corrosion when tested by DU GOST 6032−89 in boiling 65% HNO3, 5 cycles of 48 hours. The rate of corrosion after each of the cycles does not exceed 0.3 mm / year. According to TU. 14−1-5072−91 bar stock and TU 14−134−277−91 (tube billets) shall meet the above requirements. The susceptibility to intergranular corrosion is tested on samples after heat treatment (at t ° 1100 ° C ± 10 ° C, cooling in the air, without provoking tempering).

The susceptibility to corrosion — samples cut from grade Ø 40 mm (the value in the numerator) and Ø 120 mm (the value in the denominator) when tested by the method of DU

Steel resists intergranular corrosion when tested by the method, GOST 6032−89, after a 5-hour tempering at t ° 600−800 ° C. Welded joints are not prone to intergranular corrosion, including knife-type corrosion in a solution of 40% HNO3 + 2% HF (at 95 ° C, for 48 hours). This steel has high resistance to local types of corrosion (pitting, crevice corrosion in chloride-rich media), as well as to corrosion cracking in hydrogen sulphide-containing media.

Process parameters

This steel is high-tech, available hot and cold plastic deformation. The temperature range of hot deformation is 1230−980°C. Hardening is carried out at t° up to 1100±10°С with cooling in water. The same heat treatment is used for debinding, both after hot and cold deformation. In the hot-rolled state the steel structure is austenitic fine-grained (#9−10); there is almost no ferrite (<0.5%). The metal itself is clean in terms of non-metallic inclusions. Recrystallization of austenite grains in the samples of flat steel goes during heating to 1100 ° C, after aging the structure of flat steel has a grain size of number 7-8.

Welding

The manual argon arc method with the help of additive wire Sv-01H23N23MZTZ. Seams are not prone to intergranular, knife corrosion when operated in oxidizing environments.
