Technical Characteristics

This grade contains not less than 77.5% Ti, Specific weight 4.43 g/cm3. The alloy is characterized by high corrosion resistance. Combines high processability, specific strength, wear resistance. Modulus of elasticity 107 hPa is about half of that of alloy steels. It is a much-demanded alloy. Used. for the production of parts of aircraft engines (shroud stopper, fasteners), chemical fixtures, sports equipment. It contains about 3% aluminum, 8% vanadium, 6% chromium, 4% zirconium, and 4% molybdenum. The optimum operating temperature is from 0° to +350°C.

This is a metastable beta alloy that can be thermally hardened. It contains beta stabilizer elements that allow it to retain a high level of strength after quenching.

Cold Hardening

Turning, milling, grinding, drilling.

Heat Treatment

Normalization, hardening, annealing, tempering.

Application

Forged parts are produced for long-term operation at the temperature +350 ° C, structures that work in seawater, used in the manufacture of lightweight and durable brackets, beams and similar strength parts.
