Inconel 625® - UNS N06625
Inconel 625® can be produced as Werkstoff Nr. 2.4856Chornin® 625, Nickelvac® 625, Altemp® 625, Hines® 625 Nicrofer® 6020. It is a non-magnetic stainless nickel alloy, has high strength and hardness in the temperature range - 70 +1000°C. The chromium-nickel matrix, alloyed with niobium, molybdenum, has considerable resistance to fatigue and corrosion cracking in environments containing chlorine ions.
Applications
Used in industrial chemistry for gas pipeline fragments, thermal shields, furnace equipment, combustion chambers and nozzles for gas-turbine engines in airliners. for special equipment operating in seawater.
Tube and pipe specifications
Inconel 625 / UNS N06625 seamless tube and pipe may be requested to ASTM B444; welded products may require ASTM B704 or B705, depending on the form and application. Specify outside diameter, wall thickness, length, condition, tolerances, testing and documentation. The governing specification and certified mill test report control the order.
