Characteristics
Nichrome wire Kh15n60 has high corrosion resistance, combines heat resistance, heat resistance and ductility. It has a tensile strength of 637 - 784 N/mm and a maximum continuous operating temperature of up to 1150 °C.
The approximate ratio of the components is clear from the name. It contains chromium 15% and nickel 60% of the remainder is due to alloying impurities - manganese, titanium, carbon. The working temperature does not exceed 1110 °C. Cr15N60 is more susceptible to corrosion than Cr20N80 and the high percentage of iron in the residue increases the magnetic qualities. Although on technical properties it is inferior to similar alloys, but such nichrome wire is much cheaper.

Advantages of
Alloy X15n60 has a good combination of heat resistance and high electrical resistance. The minimum coefficient of thermal expansion allows the wire of this alloy not to sag at significant temperatures. The surface oxides of chromium and nickel give the material excellent corrosion resistance which makes it suitable for aggressive environments. Plasticity allows the finest wire and ribbon to be rolled in a cold state. Heat resistance helps it withstand mechanical stresses without deformation or fracture.
Disadvantages
Nickel and chromium do not belong to the cheap elements, and therefore the high price of thread Alloy X15n60 is justified.
