42H / Invar 42 / Nilo 42® - UNS K94200
Common trade names: Invar 42®, Nilo 42®. It is a nickel iron alloy used for controlled expansion and magnetic applications. The alloy is characterized by constant temperature expansion, magnetic and electrical permeability. The alloy is amenable to hot and cold forming and its machinability is similar to that of austenitic stainless steels.
