Basic properties
Titanium welding wire is produced in degassed and pickled condition. Its ovality shall not exceed the limiting deviation. Its surface shall be clean, light-colored, without any undertones, unetching or dark spots. Traces of broaching, small risks, rolls of depth not more than specified in the table are allowed.

Note. Small defects on the surface are allowed for wire diameter ≤ 3 mm - less than 0.1 mm. At Ø > 3 mm - up to 0.2 mm. The number of macro-depth defects should be within 10%. Dressing of wire coils with re-degassing is allowed.

The wire is supplied in coils with the outer diameter of up to 900 mm. Such wire should have no sticky coils or bends over 100°. Curliness of the wire after annealing is not considered a defect. The weight of the coil is up to 50 kg. If the coil consists of separate parts, length of each part should be more than 10 m.
The coil is tied up tightly with a soft titanium wire in 3 places and wrapped into clean paper, and then into a synthetic cloth or polyethylene film 0,1-0,2 mm thick - according to
