Axial standard expansion joint with flanges type ABN/ALN.
The multilayer bellows is made of stainless steel grade 10Х17Н13М2Т (analog 1.4571) or 03Х17Н13М2 (analog 1.4404). The compensator flanges are made of steel. The operating temperature of this type of compensator is up to 300 °C.
Multilayering is a characteristic feature of standard axial compensators. The compensator wall, working under pressure, is made of several thin layers. This design increases flexibility and resistance to pressure drops. The advantage of the design is the small force required for movement, a complete guarantee of tightness of all elements and the possibility of significant movements with a small length of the compensator.
Axial compensators
These are standard expansion joints with improved performance characteristics, made of stainless steel bellows with a diameter of 15 to 3000 mm. Axial expansion joints come in the following connection types: connections with a fixed or rotating flange, welded nozzles, threaded connections. As additional versions, expansion joints of this type come in the following types: with an internal cup, using special materials and different types of flange hole designs. Axial expansion joints are an inexpensive solution for compensating for temperature changes in pipeline systems.
Bellows axial expansion joint with swivel flange
This type of compensator can facilitate installation, since the flanges can be easily and freely rotated to perfectly fit the bolts to the holes, as well as when replacing equipment.
Axial flange compensator with fixed flange
To achieve a more rigid connection, such a compensator is welded to the bellows. It is used to absorb thermal expansion along the pipe axis. The pipeline systems are divided into sections using fixed partitions to prevent heterogeneous expansion. Thus, the elongation movement that occurs in this section is absorbed by a bellows metal compensator, which is used specifically in this section.
