General Characteristics
Grade 36KNM refers to corrosion-resistant magnetically soft precision alloys with low coercive force and high induction in the magnetic fields of weak, medium strength. In addition to iron (base metal) it has cobalt (35-36%), nickel (21-22%), molybdenum (2.8-3.2%). Manganese and silicon are alloying additives. A distinctive feature of alloy 36KNM is high resistance to rust, as well as a fairly high level of induction in weak magnetic fields. The alloy is widely used in the production of magnetic wires working in sea water or in conditions of high humidity.
