Production

Rolled dural ribbon is normalized in GOST 13 726-97. The most commonly used alloy grade VD1 (chemical composition GOST 1131-76). The control of composition determines GOST 24 231-80: Semi-hardened strip is marked H2; annealed soft strip, - M; clad - A. Accuracy of manufacturing is normal, quality of surface finish is standard; deviation in thickness may be asymmetrical or symmetrical,.

Processing features

The heat treatment of the strip affects the material structure and performance. When annealed, VD1AM tape becomes more malleable and ductile. Machining is greatly facilitated. To impart hardness to the metal rolling with crimping up to 5% (dressing) is used. Tape VD1AN2 is produced in a semi-naked state with normal cladding to increase corrosion resistance. Alternatively, anodic oxidation may be used.

Use
