Technical characteristics
High-alloyed high-temperature resistant austenitic nickel-based steel with additions of cobalt, titanium, niobium, aluminum. Developed and patented by Special Metals. The steel is resistant to high-temperature corrosion at temperatures up to 1200° C. Designed for long term operation in thermal shock and oxidizing environments. The strength can be increased by heat treatment.

Smelted in an open arc furnace. The density of the alloy is 8.22 g/cm3. The stiffness of the matrix due to the inclusion of molybdenum in the composition allows to achieve high strength after heat treatment.
