Feature
Stainless steel AISI 316Ti with additives of titanium, molybdenum and a higher Nickel content — is an improved version of AISI 304. Titanium enhances the resistance to action of aggressive environment, therefore the main scope of this steel is the production of industrial equipment, who will work in adverse conditions. The presence of titanium steel, five times greater than the percentage of carbon, stabilizes the precipitation of chromium carbides on the surface of the crystals. Steel AISI 316Ti plastic, well welded. Balanced composition provides significant corrosion resistance in many aggressive environments. Molybdenum protects the steel from crevice and pitting corrosion in sea and chlorinated water, acetic acid vapors. A minimum rate of gas corrosion provide excellent corrosion resistance in polluted industrial atmosphere. Domestic analogues of this brand are considered to be 10X17H13M2T and 03KH17N14M3.
AISI 316Ti has higher strength and creep resistance at high temperatures compared to AISI 304, and excellent mechanical and corrosion properties at sub-zero temperatures. AISI 316Ti used when necessary to avoid corrosion in the weld heat-affected zones. Steel AISI 316Ti -stabilized with titanium, is used for a long time in the temperature range 550 °C — 800 °C.
Application
High workability, oxidation resistance, excellent mechanical properties allow the use of AISI 316Ti in many industries. It is a chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food industry, mechanical engineering, manufacture of heat exchangers, petrochemical industry, processing industry.

Heat treatment of steel AISI 316Ti.
1. Annealing: temperature 1010 — 1120 °C with a sharp cooling water or cold air provides optimum ductility of steel. Achieved the best corrosion resistance after annealing at 1070 °C and sudden cooling.
2. Stress relief (leave) at a temperature of 450−600°C for one hour with a low risk of sensitization. Must apply the lowest temperature stress-relief — not higher than 400 °C.
3. The range of forging. The temperature in the beginning of the process 1150 — 1260 °C, at the end of the process 900−925°C. If any hot processing — support by annealing. Time, designed to achieve uniformity of heating of the stainless steels longer than carbon — about 12 times.
