Composition

Steel sheet, strip, foil brand 20X25H20C2 produced from stainless complex-alloyed heat-resistant and heat-resistant alloy. In composition, according to GOST 5632-72, 24-27% Cr, 18-21% Ni, 2-3% Si. The alloy is alloyed with vanadium, tungsten, titanium and carbon - 0.2% each, manganese, molybdenum and copper - 0.3% each, thousandths of phosphorus and sulfur. The remainder is iron. Since chromium and nickel are the main alloying elements, the steel is called chrome-nickel.

Production

Sheet, strip and foil can be produced by hot or cold rolling. Thicknesses of 1.5 to 3.9 mm are achieved by hot rolling, 0.7 mm or less by cold rolling. The hot-rolling temperature is 1170 °C at the beginning and 850 °C at the end of the process. Cooling is done in air. Sheet and strip can be matte, polished, brushed. Other methods of production are also possible. Stretch-through products are made from hot-rolled steel up to 6mm thick or from cold-rolled steel up to 2mm thick and are used in the construction of stairs, fences, balconies , etc. The quality of products can be ordinary and structural. The method of finishing the edge of the sheet is determined by the cut of its edge. Rolling can be made with high and normal accuracy. Thick plates are produced in thicknesses of 4 to 16 cm.

Advantages

Heat resistance at, t° up to 1100 °C, corrosion resistance, including in oxidizing environments, aesthetic appeal. Such properties as high strength, wear resistance allow using sheets and belts as blanks for production of critical parts used under high loads and temperatures. Thanks to nickel and chromium, the protective film on the surface of the parts quickly regenerates itself after minor damage. The disadvantage is that it is prone to temper embrittlement.
