Steel 13ГС (13ГС -)
Designation
Description
13ГС steel is used: for the production of continuous cast slabs; ekspandirovannogo electrically welded pipes with a diameter 711−1220 mm for main gas and oil pipelines; electric-welded longitudinal pipes of strength group K52 for construction of gas pipelines, oil pipelines and oil product pipelines.
Standards
Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to TU 14-3-1573-96 the chemical composition is given for steel grade 13GS. Steel grade 13GS-U has a difference in chemical composition: S ≤ 0.008%, P ≤ 0.025%. The carbon equivalent for both brands is ≤ 0.43%. It is allowed to introduce into the steel a technological additive silicocalcium or rare-earth materials (REM) at the rate of 0.5-2.0 kg per 1 ton of steel.
According to TU 14-158-146-2004 the chemical composition is given for steel 13GS for the ladle sample for the 1st level of the quality of the pipes. For pipes of the second level of quality in the ladle sample, the mass fraction of sulfur is ≤ 0.010%, phosphorus ≤ 0.015%, carbon = 0.11-0.14%. For pipes of steel 13GS-U of the 1st quality level, the mass fraction of sulfur is ≤ 0.008%, phosphorus ≤ 0.020%, carbon = 0.11-0.15%. For pipes of steel 13GS-U of the 2nd quality level, the mass fraction of sulfur ≤ 0.008%, phosphorus ≤ 0.015%, carbon = 0.11-0.14%.
