Designation
Description
16G2AF steel is used: for the manufacture of steel structures, welded farm and other machinery; electric-welded pipes with a diameter of 127, 140, 152, 159, 168, 219, 273 mm for building; casings of blast furnaces.

16G2AF steel provides strength grade sheet, universal broadband rental and roll-formed profiles KP 390 with plate thickness of 32 to 40 mm., CP 440 with a thickness up to 32 mm. without the use of additional hardening treatment.

Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to GOST 19282-73 chemical analysis of steel grade 16G2AF is presented. Modification of steel by calcium and rare earth elements is allowed from the calculation of the introduction into the metal of not more than 0.02% calcium and 0.05% rare earth elements.
According to GOST 19281-89 and GOST 19282-73, it is allowed to add aluminum and titanium from the calculation of the mass fraction in the rolled aluminum - no more than 0.050%, titanium - no more than 0.030%.
According to TU 14-1-1762-76 chemical analysis of steel grade 16G2AF is presented.
According to TU 14-1-219-72 chemical analysis of steel grade 16G2AF on a ladle sample is presented. The nitrogen content is calculated.
According to TU 14-1-5507-2005 chemical analysis of 16G2AF-III grade steel is presented.
