Description

08KH17N6T steel is used: for the manufacture of ingots of ESR (electroslag remelting); the manufacture of parts of the wing devices, rudders, brackets; marine shafts and other components operating in seawater.

Note

Steel high-alloyed corrosion-resistant austenitic-martensitic class.
Steel 08KH17N6T recommended as a substitute for steel grades 09KH17N7JU and 09KH17N7JU1, because it has a high resistance against intergranular corrosion.

According to TU 14-132-176-89, the chemical composition is given for steel grade 08Х17Н6Т. Permissible deviations in chemical composition and content of residual elements are in accordance with GOST 5632. Vanadium is introduced into the steel at the rate of 0.15%, cerium by 0.010%, boron by 0.0030%. The mass fraction of vanadium is determined by chemical analysis and the results are recorded in the certificate - the content of vanadium is optional.
