Description
Alloy M40 is used: for the manufacture of welded structures operating at cryogenic and elevated temperatures; profiles with cross-sectional area of 200 cm2 and a diameter of circumcircle up to 350mm suitable for use in the aviation industry and special machine building industries.
Note
M40 — alloy system Al-Cu-Mg aluminum of high heat resistance, hardened by heat treatment (quenching + natural ageing).

Sheets OST 1 90261-77 are delivered: the method of manufacture with normal plating - A (М40А); material condition: annealed - M (М40АМ), quenched and naturally aged - T (М40АТ), cold-worked after quenching and natural aging with the degree of deformation of 7-8 % - TN (М40АТН); for precision manufacturing - normal accuracy; quality of surface finish - ordinary finish, without additional symbols. |
