From technological point of view bronze БрОЦ 5-5-5 is one of the most demanded grades among the rolled bronze on modern market. High strength, heat and corrosion resistance BrOC 5-5-5 makes it widely used in the manufacture of pipe fittings, special designs, as well as stationary and moving parts of machinery.
Production
BrOC 5-5-5 contains zinc, lead and tin with 5% each, while the main material is copper. Alloying elements in its composition increase fluidity and density of the material, as well as reduce the tendency to liquation. Due to the addition of phosphorus, zinc and lead, this bronze has a two-phase structure. BrOC 5-5-5 makes it difficult to work with pressure, but it resists corrosion and is good for cutting. Pipe products, bushings, circles are made by continuous casting and pressing, which determines the high strength, excellent performance in comparison with similar products. On the surface of the metal may sometimes mark the traces of broaching, but the products grade BrOC 5-5-5 in accordance with GOST should not have cracks, surface defects or excessive relief.
Application
BrOC 5-5-5 bronze bushing is widely in demand in modern mechanical engineering. It is produced using centrifugal casting and further machining. Tubes made of this alloy are very popular as they are practically unaffected by corrosion and successfully resist the action of aggressive environment. Bronze BrOC 5-5-5 has excellent antifriction properties, it is used in the manufacture of sliding bearing supports. BrOC 5-5 has high strength even under high loads and difficult working conditions - shock, vibration. From such bronze gaskets and bushings for tractors and automobiles are made.
