19Х20Н4АМ3Д2С steel is used: for the production of billets for re-rolling and hot-rolled steel intended for the manufacture of parts for special equipment operating in sea water and in areas with a Maritime climate.

According to TU 14-1-3640-83, the chemical composition is presented for steel grade 19Х20Н4АМ3Д2С (ЭК7). In the finished metal, deviations from the mass fraction of elements are allowed: by carbon ± 0.010%, for silicon +0.20%, for manganese -0.20%, for nickel -0.30%, for molybdenum ± 0.10%, for nitrogen +0.030%. The calculated mass fraction of cerium is established by the technological instruction and its residual content in the metal is not determined by chemical analysis. In the steel electroslag remelting brand 19H20N4AM3D2S-Sh (EC7-SH), the mass fraction of sulfur should not exceed 0.015%.
