The straightness tolerance of the drill pipe in any 1 m section should be:
- 0.4 mm - for 43 mm diameter pipe;
- 0.5 mm for 55 mm O.D. pipe;
- 0.7 mm - for pipes with a diameter of 70 mm;
- 0.8 mm for pipes with a diameter of 89 mm.

The tool joints for drill pipes shall be manufactured of the types given in the Table.
The tool joints shall be manufactured in two designs:
right - with right locking threads and with right threads to connect the lock to the drill pipes;
left-handed - with left-handed lock thread and left-handed thread for connecting the lock to the drill pipe.
