Notes:

• The bars made of titanium alloy grade VT3-1 are available in diameters from 8.2 to 16.2 mm.

1.2 The bars are supplied in the length from 1 to 4 m. Not shorter than 500 mm length is allowed in amount of not more than 5% of the batch weight.

2 Technical requirements
2.1 Titanium bars are supplied in hot rolled (drawn) condition after grinding or mechanical calibration without heat treatment.
Delivery is allowed after vacuum annealing with subsequent straightening and grinding.
2.2 The chemical composition of the alloys should meet the requirements of OCT1 90013-71 (replaced by OCT1 90013-81), with aluminum content should be within 2.2-3.8%, and hydrogen content - not more than 0.012%.

2.4 Surface cleanliness not less than 6. No cracks, risks, rough spots, foams, rolls and shells are allowed on the surface of rods.
The surface is allowed local abrasions, as well as single local defects to a depth not exceeding the limit deviation in diameter and does not lead to the diameter of the rod beyond the minimum dimensions.
2.5 The grain size, determined by a 10-point scale macrostructure, shall not exceed 3 points.
2.6 The microstructure of BT16 alloy bars determined by a 9-point scale shall correspond to types 1-6.
The microstructure of BT3-1 alloy bars shall meet the requirements of OCT1 90006-70 (replaced by OCT1 90006-86).
2.7 The macrostructure of the alloy is not allowed to have splits, cracks, voids, metallic
and nonmetallic inclusions.
