Strengthening
Zinc is strongly influenced by thermal effect of deformation, therefore during the subsequent passes the initial temperature of the rolled metal increases by 50 ... 70°С. This affects the zinc hardening/reinforcing processes. Therefore, in the temperature range of 50...100°С, deformation of zinc is already incompletely hot. The mentioned features of processing have a significant impact on the final mechanical properties of zinc sheets, which should be taken into account in the appointment of modes of subsequent processing of semi-finished products and blanks of the metal.
