Part of the above-mentioned means of the management of «Norilsk Nickel» plans to direct on modernization of existing production assets: replacement of obsolete equipment and technology, the construction of new mines in the existing fields and development of ore deposits in the deeper levels. These measures will allow MMC more efficiently dispose of the existing mineral resource base and provide consistently high levels of precious and non-ferrous metal production for a longer period.
