Representatives of major US companies, including — UnitedTechnologies, ArmstrongWorldIndustries, GE, HoneywellInternational, Johnson & JohnsonLLC, last week presented a draft of a special economic zone Titanium Valley. The presentation took place in Moscow in the framework of the meeting, organized by the US Chamber of Commerce, where American businessmen and representatives of the authorities of the Sverdlovsk region discussed the possibilities and the profitability of investment projects in the Urals.
Directly on the benefits of the creation of enterprises in the valley Titanium foreign guests said the head of the management company of a special economic zone Artemy Kyzlasov. And at the end of the presentation Sverdlovsk Governor Alexander Misharin held business talks with the heads of several companies interested in the concrete conditions of participation in the SEZ.
Recall: Titanium Valley — a major investment project, according to the plans which the initiators, in the city of Verkhnyaya Salda zone will be created with special customs and tax benefits for residents (the immutability of their preference guaranteed by a special federal law). SEZ territory has an area of 584 hectares and is located adjacent to the company VSMPO AVISMA Corporation — the biggest producer of titanium-based alloys. As part of the project, management of SEZ plans to develop businesses related to the production of titanium, but to participate in the special economic zone belonging to a resident of the industry (as it may seem from the name «Titanium Valley») is optional.
