At the Zaporozhye Titanium-Magnesium Works recently cast commemorative — 100 000th ton titanium sponge. To achieve these results, the company took 14 years. In connection with the event on the shop floor № 7, in the furnace area which was a landmark for the Furnace ton plant, a meeting was held with the participation of ZTMC management, its staff and the guests of honor.

Today Zaporozhye Titanium-Magnesium Works is a state enterprise, however, due to the recent decision of the Ukrainian government, authorizing the corporatization of the plant, ZTMC employees expect private investment in the near future. «The investor is already there, a program of development of production, but at the present time this issue is closed for discussion» — shared information with reporters representative of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Evgeniy Semichaevsky. However, according to market analysts, the most probable candidate for the masters of titanium mill has already been determined: apparently, they will become a businessman Dmitry Firtash.

According to Director General of Zaporozhye titanium plant Vladimir Sivak, income of the company grew by 80% in 2011 (compared to the results of 2010) and currently plant running at full capacity. «We are working steadily and develop, and through investment we can modernize the production of titanium sponge and strengthen its own position in the market» — described the situation at the plant head ZTMC.
