The company Outokumpu (Finland) has announced some changes in their own headings price list regarding the supply of products to European consumers in the coming year. In particular, it concerns the roll of stainless steel, the price of which, according to the corrected data, increased by 5% from 1 January 2012.
As in other enterprises Stainless industry leadership of the Finnish steel company has taken various measures to minimize the damage to the financial condition of the manufacturer sector weakened economies. For example, with respect to deliveries of stainless steel in the current month, Outokumpu's management decided to maintain the trend of other European manufacturers, reduce the price of roll steel. Recall that the company duplicated the actions of ThyssenKrupp, Acerinox and Aperam, less for December deliveries (on average 3−4%) surcharge on the two-millimeter cold-roll stainless steel CR 316, CR 430 and 304 grades.
Another necessary step Outokumpu, aimed at stabilizing the financial situation — reducing the company's staff. So last week in the corporation reported a reduction in Finland two hundred jobs. Such actions were planned management of the program to optimize the organizational structure of Outokumpu, adopted at the end of October this year.
