At the same time, commenting on the situation in the Chinese market, in Taigang said that in the first half of this year, imports of stainless steel into the country amounted to 580 thousand tons, while exports -. 680 thousand tons.

Earlier, the executive director of the Spanish stainless steel producer Acerinox Bernardo Velazquez said the global demand for stainless steel will recover in the IV quarter of 2010.

According to him, the demand for the metal eased slightly in the III quarter in the wake of reports of the Greek economy and the weakness of European countries during the holiday season.

Market analysts have previously speculated that the production of stainless steel in the countries of Europe in the III quarter of 2010 compared to II quarter will decrease by 15%. According to their calculations the release of stainless steel in 12 European countries in the II quarter totaled 1.97 million tons.
