China's largest zinc producer Zhuzhou Smelter Group signed an agreement with leading Chinese trader Minmetals agreement to sell him 140 tons of indium. Both partners will cooperate in trade with indium, based on current market prices and forecasts of their development until the end of 2010

India — byproduct of zinc production. According to reports the total volume of indium in the world does not release more than 600 tons.

China is the largest producer of indium, used in the manufacture of flat screens for TVs and computers.
