According to the European Association of manufacturers of aluminum foil (European Aluminium Foil Association), it was exactly 100 years since the establishment of the aluminum foil. It started it all in 1910, when Robert Neher (Robert Victor Neher) received a patent and opened in Kreuzlingen (Switzerland), the first company to produce this kind of products of «winged metal». Already in 1911 the company began to turn Tobler chocolate produced by it in aluminum foil. A year later, the foil was used for packing soup cubes of Maggi.

During its century-old history of the aluminum foil packaging has become very popular view, earning recognition from both sellers and consumers. Today it is used wherever possible, from the packaging of food and beverages and ending with drugs.
