Toho Titanium plans to raise export prices

The second largest Japanese manufacturer of titanium Toho Titanium plans to raise export prices for the metal in 2011 for the first time in three years, Bloomberg reported.

Although in the current year contract prices for titanium, is projected to decline by 15% in the next year may grow by 10%, said the president of Toho Titanium Takeshi Kurushima reporters. This is due to the expected increase in demand from manufacturers of aircraft and equipment.

Industrial demand for titanium, is likely to increase by 7% per year in 2010−2015, the company forecast.
