London Metal Echange (LME) warehouses recently issued certificate (warrants) for 5 tons of cobalt, stored in a warehouse in Rotterdam, in the framework of its project on the development of exchange trading so-called small metals (these include cobalt and molybdenum). The next step is to start on May 19 this year, small metals trading for cash.
Since February 22, when the official launch took place in the turnover of contracts for cobalt and molybdenum on LME has sold 611 lots cobalt (1 lot equals 1 ton of metal).
Cobalt is used in the production of catalysts, batteries, alloys, dyes and chemicals.
